Receiving a lot of comparisons to Animal Collective from a lot of very confused critics, Braids debut album is nonetheless a treat. Carefully crafted soundscapes create the perfect backdrop for the female vocals, placed sometimes in the foreground and sometimes somewhere underwater. Album opener Lemonade below:
